The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge runs from June 20 through August 15. Readers of all ages can participate — children, teens, and adults each have their own reading logs and prize tiers.
How It Works
- Sign up at the library or online starting June 1
- Pick up your reading log and book bag
- Read books and log your progress
- Earn prizes at every milestone
- Attend special summer programs for bonus entries into our grand prize drawing
Prizes
Prizes include gift cards to local businesses, book bundles, art supplies, and a grand prize family outing to Storm King Art Center. All participants who complete the challenge receive a certificate and a free book.
