Thank You, Volunteers!
Last week we celebrated National Volunteer Appreciation Week, and we wanted to take a moment to publicly thank the incredible people who donate their time to Valley Mountains Library.
By the Numbers
- 32 active volunteers contributed time in 2025
- 1,847 hours of volunteer service
- 6 teen volunteers earned community service credit
Highlights
Our volunteers help with everything from shelving books and running the book sale to tutoring students and delivering books to homebound patrons. This year, we especially want to recognize:
- Dorothy Callahan — 15 years of dedicated service to our Homebound Delivery program
- The Maplewood High School Key Club — for organizing our spring book sale
- George and Irene Petroski — who maintain our community bulletin board and newspaper archive
